Canton Ohio is home to beautiful and historic West Lawn Cemetery. This significant property is probably best known as the original burial site of the twenty-fifth President of the United States of America, William McKinley, who was assassinated in 1901. However, it is also the final resting place of many of Stark County and Northeast Ohio's prominent citizens of the past and present, including some of the most influential and famous residents in the surrounding area's history.

Business and inventing titans such as "Boss" Hoover and H.H. Timken stand out among the towering monuments. In some respects, the monuments read like a "Who's Who" from the golden age of Canton's industrial and philanthropic past.

Cemeteries offer the ability for one to study an area's past. West Lawn Cemetery invites the public to come and investigate Canton's own history through the hallowed grounds of its peaceful and serene acreage.
